The Ostra Regal oyster is cultivated for 4 years. The oyster is the embodiment of the style and quality of Maison Boutrais. The basket evokes a maritime and dreamlike universe, which perfectly reflects all the indescribable sensations and flavors that one can discover when tasting this exceptional oyster.
Ostra Regal is the result of a careful and rigorous production process. The spittle stays in our semi-rearing cages for several months and reaches a size of approximately 3 to 4 cm. The oysters are then sorted and selected for size and quality to guarantee high quality oysters. “Boudeuses”, also called “lot tails”, are the roundest oysters. They are especially prized for their slow growth, which allows them to concentrate their energy on fattening rather than on shell production. It is this attention to detail that makes Ostra Regal an exceptional oyster.
The Ostra Regal oyster has a unique and delicious taste. The flesh is firm and fleshy and offers a pleasant mouthfeel.
